Amanda Bunnell began her college education at a technical school in Idaho where she received her Cosmetology certificate and started her career as a hairstylist. This gave her the skills she needed to work and support her husband through school at Utah State University.
After her husband graduated, she decided to stay at home and raise her five children. She also ran a small Mary Kay consultant business and salon out of her home in Perry, Utah. While she loved running the businesses, she struggled to keep records organized and up to date.
She decided to take a few Continuing Education classes through Bridgerland Technical College at the Brigham City Branch Campus. She enjoyed the classes and loved learning on her own so much that she eventually decided to pursue a full Business Technology certificate. While pursuing her certificate, she was hired as an accounting manager at a local company. Amanda says, “I have so many more opportunities with my technical certificates than I had before!"
